So, Zoe and I worked (goofed off ) together for a bit at the shop, 2008 and some 2009/10 when time allowed. Super part time for me and way too full a job for Zoe (yes?- yes!). Zoe is an awesome over educated writer who worked for The Ride Magazine till it went under (cool magazine for sure) and very funny human who dropped out of Harvard to pursue bike shop glory.
We both made it our job to empty out the Belmont location of any and all old strange bicycles. A few gems come to mind: an old and absolutely horrible GT titanium road bike from 95, a useless Merlin softtail from around 00' or so, ancient trek full suspension frames from when Y bikes were considered sensible, huge bikes, super small bikes, crazy bikes.
Zoe and I played cleanup for the shop but really, Zoe did all the work selling a good bit of the inventory on Ebay. For me it was a fun game to play on the weekends while I kept up my real job in Manhattan and preparing to return home to Israel. I think that at some point we discussed the possibility of writing a piece about bike shop humor and I just wanted to say that the time has come for a bike version of Cartalk (or Topgear if u like), wish we could do it transnationally…. Anyway,
I suggest that if anyone is ever in the area to stop by and chat with Zoe about old bikes, cool bikes, obscure bikes or even awesome new ones.
So this is where the English ends and I move back to an older, better, jewier language to talk about the importance of Redbones.

כמה מהרוכבים הטובים של האזור מספונסרים בצורה כזו או אחרת ע"י המקום ואם יתמזל המזל אפשר לזכות שם פעם בשנה בשלדה ייחודית של מייק פלאנאגן. מקום אוצר.
אולי הלקח החשוב ביותר שלמדתי מרדבונס זה חשיבות האזור, המקום והקהילה ביצירת קהילה של רוכבים. אולי בגלל זה בחרתי לבנות את המקום שלנו באזור שבו הקהילה כל כך תומכת והאנשים מחוברים לתרבות ולאזור ותומכים כמה שרק ניתן תמורת חיוך בירה ומילה טובה.

בין דוכן החמוצים לחנות התבלינים שפתוחה יום כן יום לא. בהמשך הסימטה שיש בה כמעט הכל, איטליז חביב, מאפיות, כלי בית אפילו שמלות כלה.
